what to try first
No idea yet of anything that he may have eaten. He is not bloated cant see anything that may be wrong
Only things that is new is we spread pecan shells over the muddy areas and gave him a small slice of sweet potato last night (not sure if he ate it the other goats didn't want it and last I saw he was still tasting it deciding if he should eat it)
He is a 1 yeat old weathered male approximately 50 lb mostly Nigerian with some pygmy
His mom gave birth 2 days ago ans his sister about 4 days so they have been separated but he is with another 1 year old weathered male and a 1 year old billy goat
Due for CD&T booster and I usually worm in the spring and give the copper bolus
He normally follows me around being a pia at feeding times but didn't want any hay or even feed this morning he just watched me put the feed in while the other males were off eating the hay normally he would have been right there trying to get the feed before I could dump it in the feeder
Was acting normal yesterday
He took 2 treats when checking his FAMACHA score wich was closer to 2 than 3
Found sweet potato he didnt eat it

Do you regularly worm your goats? Is he standing up? Walking around? If he is still like this by tomorrow, I would call my vet.

They are not due to for worming until April
Vets don't know much about goats around here farm vets deal with horses and cows
He is up grazing now and came up on the porch for a pet a little while ago so is acting more like usual
I am hoping it is something as simple as he is not sleeping due to being separated from his mom and sister.
Or he ate some pecan shells and had an upset stomach
In my limited experience in herd/prey animals is that the will hide any sign of illness or injury
So you don't have much time when something is wrong

Well he wouldn't stop bothering me when I hung a new water bottle for the girl rabbits then snuck past me to get in Mr Bunny's Tractor wouldn't let me out of the feed room until I have him part of an alpha cube and had to pretend to be a grizzly bear so he didn't get in by his sister
So he is back to normal
