Totally new to owning goats. I have had two wethered male pygmy/nigerian goats for two years now. We recently bought a female boer/pygmy mix. One of the males could care less, the other boy is more excited about her than a pubescent teenage boy. He nibblrs her ears, mounts her, sticks his nose are far up her rear as he can get, and bites at the hair on her back. He was banded and I didn't think he was supposed to act this way to a female....especially a 7 week old baby. Do I have a pedophile on my hands? Lol. But really is this normal behavior for a 2 year wethered male goat?

I’m sorry you haven’t received an answer to this. I don’t own any goats. Let me tag a few goat people for you. @rachels.haven @Ridgetop @Mini Horses

They still have male hormones even though they are wethered. Most will have no interest in females but a few will still care about females esp when they go into heat. As far as age....goats dont care about age. Hopefully he will get bored with her and decide it isnt worth all the effort.

How old was he when he was banded? Is there any possibility that they did not get both nuts? That can make them more likely to act like a "billy"... Sometimes you just get one that has more hormones floating through their system even when banded.
