My 6.5 week old Nubian doeling seemed to be favoring her left front leg yesterday, and upon further inspection has a slightly swollen pastern. She's eating/drinking just fine. She's still perky.

How should I handle this? Does this warrant a visit from our veterinarian?

I think a vet trip would be a good decision, just to make sure nothing is broken. If you don't want to do that, take her temp to make sure she doesn't have a fever; you don't want to risk infection...

If you don't think it's broken, I'd cold hose it for 15 min at least twice per day. Perhaps banamine if you think she's really in pain.

I would at least give her some Banamine. I would do once a day for 3 days and see if the swelling goes down.
