I have a litter a little over three weeks old at the moment. I have been giving them small amounts of greens, such as grass and dandelions every day for almost a week. I plan on giving them more greens everyday until I have them up to eating a good amount of grass etc along with the pellets and free choice hay. These are pretty much just for meat, however they are pure Silver Fox so I could place some as possible 4-h projects. These rabbits do not have to hit a butcher weight at a certain time, do you think I will save any money at all by offering other forages? I know a litter can go through a TON of pellets if that is all they get...Money is super tight right now as my husband lost his job, so saving money is primary concern..
