Just was told by vet not to feed my 2 male goats alfalfa hay or pellets. Oh no!! I get it but they love it!! They get Bermuda hay freely but can’t wait for breakfast and dinner of both alfalfa’s. Will start fruits and veges but wondering what else they might like.

Too much protein probably.... can cause kidney stones... urinary problems. How much are you giving them? Maybe a tiny handful instead.....don't have goats so no experience with that. We are careful of feeding it to the sheep.... ewes do good on it when expecting and after lambing... but it is an added not primary feed.... don't feed it to the rams except for a real treat.
