I was just wondering how much everyone else feeds their nz's. I have been giving mine a large tuna can full every evening. I noticed one of my does has a roll under her neck and I think its because maybe they are fed too much? When I feed, she acts like she is starving and tries to pry her head in between the food bowl and feed scoop while I pour it in.

The "roll" you are seeing is a dewlap. The breed standard says NZ's are allowed to have a small dewlap. Rabbits carry most of their fat internally, not in rolls like people.

I healthy rabbit will always act like they're starving at feeding time when you ration feed. Even if there is a little bit left in the feeder from overfeeding the day before, they'll act the same way.

This is so true. Mine are colony-raised, never run out of food, and they still act as though they haven't eaten in a week when I'm preparing any kind of food for them.
