Hi All,

Annie, my goat with pneumonia, is going to see Dr. Simpson, a goat vet at Oklahoma State University tomorrow morning. I am collecting her records/films from Dr. G. tomorrow morning and heading up there with her. It's about a 2 hour drive North of us, but we are supposed to have good weather, (the first in a month) so she has a an appointment.

I spoke with Dr. Simpson this am, she is really interested in helping Annie. I am so excited and happy for my little goat.

Has her condition deteriorated, or is she still in the "snotty but otherwise normal" state?

She is still the perky little goat, eats well, and plays and jumps sideways. But the snot is really green and she is coughing some.

I am going to leave her up there for a few days, they have all the facilities to really give her a good going over.

I did the Gentamicin for 14 days. It seemed to help some, but she is still showing the nose and the coughing.

Wish us luck, I will be posting as soon as I have information. I just want to do everything I possibly can for her. And at least the Dr. there is a GOAT DOCTOR. I am tired of hearing" It's just a goat".

Well, I sure hope they can figure it out! Good luck and hopefully you will come home with a goat minus a snotty nose! :fl

Annie's in good hands!!! We took her to OSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital today. What a great facility.

Dr. Simpson was there to greet her, along with several different vet students!! She is getting a bunch of tests, along with CAE, x rays, etc. We are going back to pick her up Monday.

Today was the first beautiful day weather wise we have had in a long long long time. About 60 degrees and sunny!!!

So now I have taken her to the best Oklahoma offers and to people who know goats!! Wish my little 82 lb. goat girl luck!!

As soon as I know anything, I'll post.

Good luck, Annie!

And can I also just say...it's refreshing to see someone willing to go to such lengths to help, even though Annie's "just a goat."

:thumbsup

Keep us posted. :fl :fl
