Well, we loaded up 4 of our heifers to get preg checked and we have great news! Out of those heifers only 1 was open because she hadn't started her cycle yet! Turns out the vet missed the calves a couple months ago when we took them over there and it looks like we will have April babies! Our original bull wasn't a dud :-( but there are no STDs so the rented bull is not infected and one of those heifers is only a little over a month along so our newest bull is just fine too. From now on though, I'm going to be more careful with the places we seem to pick up our cattle. Better safe than sorry!!!!!

Great! I'm happy that the doom and gloom scenario didn't rear it's ugly head. And,you should consider closing your herd and introducing new blood only by AI. Good luck in the future!
