Would like to use unflavored goat cheese to make goat cheese. Anyone have a recipe to share?

I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard you can use fresh unflavored chevre as a replacement for cream cheese in cheese cake... Is that what you mean? I plan to experiment more this summer/fall when we are getting more milk daily.

I used my regular recipe and just substituted the soft goat cheese for the creme cheese. I actually did 1/4 creme cheese and the rest my goat cheese. Everyone loved it:) Be adventurous and have fun!

We make yogurt.

After it has set up we drain some of it through a cheese cloth ( actually we use flour sack wash clothes from WalMart)

We use the same washcloths for milk strainers.

Anyway you can use the thickened drained yogurt cheese where sour cream should be or, if thick enough, as cream cheese.

We make homemade chip dip from scratch using the yogurt, onions, garlic, and some Worcestershire Sauce.

If you make the farmers cheese using 1 gallon of milk, 1/2 cup white vinegar, and some salt it can be marinated , sliced and fried, or left plain and crumbled into a stir fry.
