Anyone making butter with a separator?

I was wondering which breed of goat was better for butter making. I think Nubians are but not real sure. Also, I was wondering if it was worth purchasing a separator to make butter. How much milk do you need to make 1 lb of butter? I have the opportunity to purchase a used separator and was wondering if its worth the time and trouble. I would appreciate any information. Thanks.

I would say either Nubians or Nigerian Dwarfs probably have the most butterfat. But you do need one heck of a lot of milk to make a pound of butter. I was looking into separators but decided that it wasn't worth it to try and make butter. But I think Freemotion has made butter from goat milk so she would be one to chime in here.
