Artificial Insemination

I want to learn about storing semen of bucks and AI techniques.
I have a Nigerian Dwarf buck that I am about to wether but I would like to store some of his semen because he is such a handsome fellow with color and blue eyes and I am sure he would have gorgeous offspring.

Can anyone help me with what I need to know to freeze some straws of his semen?

PS Also info on thawing introducing the seed as well please.

talk to your vet or AI technician

two ways of collecting semen, train them to mount a teaser and divert the penis into an artificial vagina

or use electro-ejaculation

semen needs to be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank

as for collecting this buck ... why are you wethering him if you think he would be a good buck? And why are you collecting him if there is a reason he is becoming a wether?

well I have 2 bucks and I think both of them have nice attributes. But I thought I needed to wether one and keep it as a companion for the other instead of having 2 intact males. Actually I haven't had any problems keeping both of them intact though. They are best of friends So maybe I should not bother to wether either.
