I went to a forage workshop yesterday, courtesy of the extension office. I took pictures of a vining weed that is overtaking my pond, got it identified and what to kill it with, that won’t hurt my animals. I’ll just have to keep them out for a day. The picture I showed, had Buford lounging about in the water. LOL
There was a very good presentation on warm season and cool season grasses. The guy giving the presentation is a retired professor from Sam Houston University and was a fountain of knowledge. He has cattle, but also has goats. Everyone else was a cattle man. I was the only sheep producer. I raised my hand a lot and asked questions. It was very good and I enjoyed it.
