I would like to throw some seed out in the yard for my chickens, maybe the rabbits and goats. We live in the desert so I need to know what the best drought tolerant forage is. We would be watering it and most likely it would only grow when it's not hot and there is water (winter and spring)...

Thanks in advance!!

Its probably not drought tolerant, but have you ever planted chicken scratch for the chickens?!! Lol I have NO clue what it is, but it grows, and they love it!! Also if you do some raised beds with chicken wire a few inches over it they dont eat the whole plant and it will keep growing.

Are you kidding, I think everyone had a drought this year. It ALL died

LOL, I know that, but as I live in the desert it's always drought here for me. Obviously there is some forage that will be more drought tolerant than others and I was just curious which ones would be good for this area. :D
