I've had my two pygmies for about three weeks now. I keep them in a pen with mixed grass or timothy hay while I'm at work and tether them around my property starting around 3:30 when I get home. This is all til I get proper fencing. My concern is I have a lot of black walnut trees. I mean a LOT of all sizes. They are eating them and I'm fine with that and have had no problems thus far, but I think my doe is pregnant. I also feed sweet feed in the evening by the way. Back to the walnut... I've read that it's toxic and I've read that in its whole form it's not to goats. Anyone have experience? Do you think the baby will have difficulty due to the mothers intake of black walnut?
