This is what was recommended to me and I ordered. They should be coming in today... :clap

Andis UltraEdge 2-Speed Clipper I got it from Petedge online and they have a special right now, you get a free Andis #40 blade.

I was told to get either an Andis or the Oyster A5...but most people recommended the Andis.

For blade sizes... I was told they come with the #10 and later you may want to get an extra #10 to have on hand. And you will want either the #7F or #7FC and a #40 so I felt the free #40 blade was a good deal. I am getting some blade wash and cool lube with this order too which is a must have.

Next I plan to order the #7F or #7FC, a case to keep it all in and maybe the extra #10...Then I will be all set!

I hope this helps!

*Edited to addI was also told to make sure whatever type you get that it has detachable-style blades that are compatible to use the Andis and Oysters blades.

I own an Andis Ultraedge and love it. I use it to shear alpaca crias. I use the #7 skip tooth blade for the alpacas. I have a 10 blade that came with it but never use it so I guess it will be good to keep if I ever show goats! :D
