Anyone ever raise these? I'm going to look at some feeders tonight, just wondering how they grow. These would be terminal, and a smaller batch (8-10) I would assume that they would be fairly winter hardy and woulkd do fine in the barn?

Any thoughts?

I'm sure they would do great - we cross Tam sows with a Large Black boar (Blackworth piglets)
I could be wrong here I dont think blue butts are a breed on their own - just a crossbred between a black and white pig but anyway they should turn out great for you
Good luck and would like to see a pic of the little fella's

We have some more pigs now. He only had 7 left, so I got them all. Nice and thick and well muscled. Pretty nice looking, I'm sure they will feed out great.

Depending on how they grow out I may even keep a gilt or 2 for breeders.

Speeking of your Blackworths Royd, how well do they grow, and how good is there feed conversion? Would it work the same with a Tam boar and large black sows?
