We have three grown Boer female goats in a large wooded pen. Since we'd like to enjoy raw milk and can't seem to find any around Indiana to buy, we thought buying a cow or two might help. Do cows and goats get along in the same fenced in area or not? The goats have horns and like to 'butt' each other a lot but I'm sure that would hurt a cow, at least I think it would!

The goats aren't mean or aggressive at all, but I want to know if putting a cows in with them is going to cause problems or not. It's a pretty big fenced in pen, too.

I had a jersey steer in with my herd of pygmies. The steer thought he was a goat.

 Goats and cattle grazing together is called multispecies grazing and lots of people are starting to do this because this the easiest way to improve your pasture because the goats prefer weeds and thistle and briars and poison ivy and cattle usually won't touch the stuff. They just eat the grass. Eventually, the weeds are gone and all is left is lush green pasture. Goats and cattle pasture great together and you should have no problems once the introduction phase is over. The cattle probably won't have a thing to do with the goats.
