breaking shetland ponies

Me and my friend are breaking a shetty. he is aproximatly 9.3hh. i am 5'4 and 110 lbs. 14 years old. am i to big to ride him for about 20-30 mins?

I say nope! I still ride our ponies from time to time. Heck I've even broke out a mini and I'm your size! Just pay attention to when they start getting tired thats the cue to wrap it up!
