Breeding After Kidding

Should a doe come back in heat just a few weeks after kidding? Pepper had her kid, a big boy, on Nov 8 and she is now chasing and loving up on the buck. Am I going to have to keep poor OB away from the girls until next summer? He gets tethered outside of the pen under the overhang so that mama's have the pens with the babies right now. He is so willing to do his thing with her.

Yes, Pepper could be in heat again. To mix her in with the buck could cause her to be pregnant again. If she were mine doe, I'd separate her and the buck.
