I'm sorry to disappoint everyone, but the camera is eating batteries so fast that I can't get a picture and try to upload it before having to replace the batteries! Blasted camera! Anyway, Brownie had 2 brown bucklings this morning. When I found them they were all dried off and with I picking them up to inspect them for gender they both had full bellies, so I know they had nursed. They looked lively for newborns. She's going to be a good momma. She's a first freshener. The largest of the 2 has frosted LaMancha ears (like Mom) and the other has kind of floppy frosted pygmy ears (from Daddy). Ringo was already pursuing her this morning to mount her, so locked Brownie and her bucklings up in a pen together so they could have some peace and quiet and bond better. Her diarrhea seems to have stopped and I think that it was from the change in hormones prior to kidding. She readily drank down a quart of electrolyte solution laced with a packet of plain gelatin mixed in, just in case she still has a little bit of the scours. She's eating well and seems to be doing well with the little ones now. Just have Pepper left to kid, and judging by her size she may well have triplets. Hoping for at least another doe with her kidding, as our count so far this season is 4 bucks and 1 doe.
