Is it infected from a cut or something? If it has opened up, I would see if there is pus in it and maybe flush it out with hydrogen peroxide. But if it isn't opened up, don't open it up.

Is your dog a lab or lab mix. My older lab has bumps all over her. They are prone to it. They aren't cancerous or anything and don't hurt her.
