Hello. Im James from Texas. Current herd is 20 rabbits, 45 chickens, 4 kids and 2 dogs. Im pretty new to the homesteading thing but im giving it all i got. We started 6 months ago with bare land. I built a 40x40 chicken coop, 40x40 garden, and a 16 feet long rabbit hutch that has 7 cages. It all started with 10 craiglist chickens and 3 free rabbits.

Sounds like you've been busy . I think you've got the right stuff to make it keep working.Lots of byc'ers over right now I'm one myself . Just cursing around checking things out .

Howdy. Yes super busy. Im hoping to get a couple more chicken coop and runs built this year for breed segregation, some raised beds with trellises and to get composting down. Pretty new to all of it.

Right now i got a mixed flock, some hens, some pullets and some chicks. I hatched quite a few this year. Hopefully next year i can get them going and sell a few pullets to help cover feed bills. Looks like ill be hatching RIRs and BOs if they ever start laying...
