4 yr old cow abandoned bull calf, calf almost died due to scvours and pneumonia, eye turned white, treated at vet, no sign of injury, at this point calf was taken from the momma cow, and was being hand raised, Owner is bringing calf to me, what can cause this ??? Will it be blind ???

Not sure - could have been an old injury, could have been pinkeye.... Sight might be compromised in that eye.

Could be some sort of infection or conjuctivitis too. You really need to contact your vet about this.

I would say it was a vitamin deficiency--probably Vit A.
Otherwise, inject the animal with the appropriate dosage of oxytetracycline(LA-200) or one of the newer antibiotics.
(appropriate dosage means according to weight)

Does this calf have any other obvious physical problems---difficulty standing--staggering around--what appears to be joint or spinal pain or joint stiffness? If so, have a vet look at it NOW and tell him you suspect Polioencephalomalacia (PEM)
