I thought I saw this in burgess catalog but now I can't find it. I have lots of clippings from it and would love to give it to the goats bug I don't know what it is so I can't check the poisonous plants list. Anyone know what it is?

It has been cut down several times and always comes back with superb fast growth. If that helps.

No flowers that I have ever seen. It was planted about 1.5 ft away from my father in laws house before he bought it. It quickly reaches the roof and exceeds it after being cut back nearly to the ground. Which is why I have clippings. I believe it stays green through the winter.

It does look a lot like the Japanese photinia from the pics I found online and that would be edible for them if that is what it is.

I can't tell so well from the pic (maybe an upright one and a shot of the leaf) but it looks similar to the rhododendron but you say it doesn't flower. I would be concerned if it were related to that but not sure.

I don't know what camphor smells like. Is that a mediciny smell?

They apparently can eat that because I gave a whole truckload and they all survived. Now my fil is feeding it to the goats behind his house.

When you break off a limb from the plant, smell the cutting and it has a "medicine smell". It sure soundsound looks like it.

Red tip photinia, i used to have them around my house until i burned the cuttings and they went up like they were soaked in diesel! Very volatile!
