I have been breeding dorper cross sheep for 14 years, for commercial meat and recently had a variation in color pattern show up. I am thinking about building on this. Kind of a variation of the painted desert, but polled. And sweet personalities.
I raise Katahdin sheep. I started with 4 Dorper and Katahdin mixed ewes. The wild coloring comes from the Katahdin. I’ve gotten wild colors in my flock too, usually on the boys, while their twin sister is white!
That’s a beautiful lamb!
