Hello, I am interested in raising French Angora rabbits here in Phoenix Arizona, and I would love to it colony style but I have a few questions.

Will the heat be okay for Angoras? And will it be more bearable or worse in a colony?
Is the Angora fur okay in a colony and rolling in the dirt and such?
What kind of food do you feed colony rabbits? Is forage food better? (I like to have things as natural as possible)
How do you serve the water to the rabbits?
Are colony rabbits more susceptible to worms? And does anyone know of natural deworming?
Can you collect the poop for fertilizer in a colony?

Thanks so much :)

for the angoras from what i have read, imo i wouldnt see doing a colony style ste up being the ideal situation for them or for you. unless you the room and time, and a secure setup, clonies are hard, and most end up reverting back to cages. ive tryed it for a while, but it was to much for my situation(its easier for me to feed and water in cages as and escaping can be a problem too). This is just my opinion, i have a couple that are on permanent pasture runs, but whatever u think will work best for you, and summer is the worst part of raising rabbits. you have to develop your own strategy for keeping them alive and well.
Good luck in your ventures:thumbsup
