I know in the past there has been some suspicion that Cissy and Mione might be Nigerian Dwarf crosses. I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if they were infact ALL Nigi. Out here Pygmy is so often used to describe "just a small goat". Now spring has come in and Mione is a year old and showing her "true colours" so to speak, her coat has gone from kind of a cream to definitely a sable and white "paint" with dark areas on her head around where her horns would be if she had them, and dark points on her shoulders. The more I look at Nigi's in photos the more I say to myself, "darn... Cissy definitely has a Nigi head and shape".
Even looking at their teats, neither are in milk or bred or anything but they DEFINITELY have bigger teats than what I have been seeing on Pygmy's.
