Cost of stud service

I will have a couple female piglets arriving shortly and I know they can't be bred until they reach 8 months old. However, I am outweighing the costs and concerns of having a boar on the property and I am figuring it would be cheaper to go through a stud service. Can anyone tell me what the typical cost for stud services is? Thanks in advance...

I would guess it depends on where you're at and who you talk to around here its really cheap I bred my two for free to a registered boar and have since acquired my own Hampshire boar and loaned him out for the same charge. Are you in NC?
