warthog
Overrun with beasties
I am slowly working on our land and getting a bit here and there sorted out, believe me it's a major task, according to the realtors we bought this land through, it has not been touched for 90 years. Well at least that means no nasty chemicals, and I certainly won't be using any.
Anyway, back to the subject, as I work along I want to plant something for the animals, initially it will be just a little here and a little there, something so that on days when it nasty rainy and they don't want to go in the bush I can just pull and feed.
I believe that cow peas are good, and just wondered if anyone else had grown them and with what success.
In Belize one of the main crops is sugar cane, so I am going to plant a little, and can cut the tops and feed to the goats and sheep, and it will just grow new tops, or so I am told, we'll see.
Pumpkins, courgettes I am going to try. I have in the past (before I got the goaties) grown Canteloupe Melons, can goats eat them.
Also any other suggestions as to something easy would be appreciated.
I do like growing, in fact it's is my favourtie hobby, so whilst I am NO expert and I am not a novice either, but now I live in a totally different climate, it is a bit trial and error.
