We just got this goat yesterday and this evening when I went to feed and the other goats, I saw she was bloody... she just left two babies at the place where we got her. I don't know if she is really full of milk or if one of the three and half month goats tried to get milk from her... please help, we are very new to this...

I just went out and checked on her and most of the blood is gone, do y'all think she'll be ok?

Has she been dried off? How long ago did she kid? Are you milking her? Did her previous owner plan to milk her or dry her off?

No, she hasn't been dried off and I don't know what the previous owner planned on doing with her. And we're not milking her... I'll have to ask my dad when he gets home when she kidded.

So, he said he didn't know, but my mom said she thought the kids looked about 8ish weeks old. And when my dad got home tonight he milked her some because she had been crying all day and looked really big. We think the previous owner didn't wean the kids off and let us take her with out weaning them :/

I would wash with Iodine and use some Bag Balm.

Sounds like you guys need to continue milking her, or dry her off slowly if you don't want a milker.
