Wondering if I could get opinions on creep feeding kids. I currently have one confirmed bred doe due in jan-feb and I have 2 does at a farm to be bred to kid in march-april(all does have been pasture bred so don't have an exact date for kidding) and I know there are a lot of opposing views on grain. Also does anybody have any idea on building plans for them?

Also how old should they be creep fed until? I will be getting a 4 month old doeling in February she is staying with her mom until then per breeder. This is who she is out of. What are some opinions on her bloodline? I have been told by a few breeders that it is a very good line :) I have added a few photos

Creep feeding is a very individual thing.
Nigerians raised with free choice feed from a few weeks old tend to not overeat but leave some and come back... BUT many by a certain age will start to just inhale food. That is risky.
Because we raise our Nigerians, mini's and Standard Lamnachas together this works well for us, but there comes a time we do need to separate the nigerians or they will just eat and eat and get very fat and leave nothing for the other that actually need the feed.

I saw your other post. I wonder why the breeder wants to keep her til she is almost 4 months old.

Thank you, I explained in the other post but I'll put it here too :) the breeder likes for the doeling to nurse until the are 16weeks old, I could take her and bottle feed but I don't have the time with my work schedule to do so unfortunately. I'm not sure why she likes for them to nurse until then but I'm new to goats so I figured it is what works for her (has lovely goats of what my inexperienced eyes could tell) even though I know most people wean them between 8&12 weeks around here.
