Hello All
I came across the posting on CL yesterday, it has been bothering me ever since:
Green Light Dodge is up for sale! It breaks my heart to part with my baby but my life just doesnt seem to fit with his :/ Financial issues force the loss of a best friend! He winnins when you call for him and then runs to the gate! Hes started on lunging! He is Amazing with his feet and will load himself into the trailer!! NEVER pulls back and has been tied lots!! He bathes like a good boy and NEVER kicks or bites!! Has had his feet trimmed many times and is a good boy ever with the stand!! He is going to be the PERFECT horse for someone!! I need to sell him ASAP as we have no hay in the barn So come give him a look and take him home!! (BTW) He would prolly just hop in the back seat! Here a few snap shots of the boy and his ground tie beach ball trust training!! HE NEVER MOVED ONCE!!! He has so much trust for his people!! Please call
MUST SELL ASAP THE GRASS IS GETTING SHORTER AND THERES NO HAY IN THE BARN IM NEGOTIABLE AND OPEN TO TRADES!!! MAKE ME AN OFFER!
I emailed this young lady and she emailed me back with this info: Hi!! He is a t/b qtr saddlebred morgan cross. haha Hes just a mutt of the horse world!! Dodge is uniqu and means so very much to me!! He was a resxue and very thin when i got him at 5 months And he has NEVER been touched by human hands... he has come so far and is just AMAZING and a complete joy to be around! He hasnt been vaccinated do to my financial situation but hasnt been around any other horse than ones who were =] His teeth are growing in just fine!! He may be smaller than he should be due to his ruff start... but i would say around 14- 14.2 average. Well the average horse goes through three ton in a winter (Im also selling hay very cheap and good quality!) and grass hay is just fine. Not a problem at all please call me
Of course I asked her why she said she had no hay in the barn and then turned aroung and told me she's selling hay cheap :/ She said it's not her hay she's just making some money by selling it for a guy and loading it for the customers.
The pics of this horse are wonderful - she is laying on him, he is balancing a ball on his head, etc. He doesn't appear to be skinny, but he's a stallion and will need to be gelded.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I would love to have this horse, but have never had one before. How do horse leases work? Is the owner's asking price reasonable in this market?
I realize that horses need a lot of care. I'm going to call a local equine vet and inquire about vaccinations and gelding costs. And inquire about what folks charge to break a horse like this.
But I don't want this horse to go to the slaughter house
Thanks!
