I like to go online sometimes too when I have an idea for a name. I wanted a music-related name for one of my goats. I was going to call her Twyla (cuz I think Twyla Paris has a beautiful voice) or after another of my favorite singers, but I found DOZENS of names to choose from that I really liked out if hundreds on a list.
I wanted a mysterious-sounding name for a cria, a Pilgrim name for my Pilgrim goose, a bouncy name for a goat kid, etc.
It's fun naming animals!
My favorite cute kitty name when I was young was "Puff". I wanted a fluffy orange tabby kitty with green eyes by that name. Never got him, but I always thought I'd use it.
Like Glenolam said, if we knew what your kitty looks like, we can give you ideas. Congratulations on your new kitty!
Here are names we have used for kitties over the years. We always try to fit the name to the cat:
Henry
Xerox (exact duplicate of parent)
Bella (WWAAAYY before the dumb vampire book)
Pussy Willow
Sweet William (who became, "Mr. Chubbikins")
Artemus (who became, "Mr. Kitty")
Barnabus (he liked to suck on your ear)
Cryseda (Shakespearean)
Tomkins
Favorite (she was her mother's favorite--the only other tabby in the litter)
Clever
Button (all black)
