Bred my proven doe and my first time buck a few days ago. My buck had to be guided to position; other than that the doe was very open and everything went well. I did observe the buck falling off the doe for a while. The thing is, I am not sure if they actually bred (meaning that he "went in". They are jersey woolies and couldn't see). I tried again the next day to make sure she was bred but the doe was no longer receptive. She would whine/grunt when I'd put her on the table with the buck and was very shy compared to the day before. The buck was still very willing but he was in the wrong position again, he did not fall off after this try. So, does it sound like the breeding took if the doe no longer wants to accept the buck?

Could be but try again in about 10 days, and look up palpating here http://www.thenaturetrail.com/rabbit-breeding/is-female-pregnant-palpate/

If the buck fell off, that's a sign that things "worked." A doe refusing a buck is not a sure sign of being bred, thought it can be an indication if you know your doe's habits well. Some will get very cranky when pregnant.
