Loving the herd life
I'm running myself raggid trying to make sure I don't have a problem (well, OK - I do have problems, but I mean when I make the soap!)
I'd like to make different types of soap with beer, wine, a salt bar, and a coffee bar, so I'm trying to wrap my head around how I can do that with my current recipes. I only use goat milk and have no desire to use water at all.
Does anyone make any of those types of bars?
I've read that some people boil the wine or beer down to a syrup and add it at trace - similar to how you would add a FO or EO at trace. I'm assuming I can take my basic GM recipe and just proceed as usual adding the syrup at trace.
And for a salt bar I'm assuming I can make a 100& coconut oil bar with frozen GM milk...if anyone uses soapcalc do you leave the water % at the default 38% and put a 17-20% superfat or do you change the water %?
For a coffee bar I was going to make my basic recipe, split it in 1/2 and color 1/2 with cocoa powder and put rinsed coffee grounds in the other. Anyone do that? I know the scent won't stay but I think it'll look awesome!
So much running around in my mind and no time to do it in! I really wish you could loose weight by having things "run" through your mind!
At least I did get the soaps for my sister's out of town guest bags done for her wedding!
