Deleted. Thought I was under goats.

It is sold as Quest for horses, and the Quest plus has the tapeworm medicine also added to it. I have read very good reviews about from people who use it on the horses. but it is a very strong wormer, so you should be careful using it on a really wormy horse. possibly choosing to use a milder wormer a week or two before and then the cydectin. Atleast that is what I have read about it.

You also want to use the CORRECT amount of the Quest for the weight of the animal.
Excess dosage is NOT recommended when worming horses. Some folks have reported
problems with Quest, but when you ask for details they have NOT FOLLOWED the wormer
directions. Most common problem is overdosage for the weight of animal.

Weight tapes can be helpful if you don't know how much your horse weighs, for figuring
dosages. Horse needs the entire dosage to do the job correctly. If he spits or slobbers the
wormer out, he is not getting the full dosage. Exceptions might be
the animal with a VERY heavy worm load as mentioned before.

You might want to practice dosing horse with applesauce, before doing the real wormer.
You have learned where to put the syringe to get the dosage into him, possibly prevent him
from dropping it on the ground. Horse SHOULD learn to like the flavor and not fight you.
