I have read many of the older posts, but I want some clarification…
My son just bought a place on 3 1/2 acres that has a nice creek, but too many blackberry bushes. I am trying to find out if he can use electric wire netting fence to keep his goats in and predators out. We know there are coyotes. He is considering getting an LDG eventually, but needs to finish the perimeter fence first. Any suggestions? We are near Sacramento in CA.

I use electronet fencing with my goats. It does a good job at keeping most critters out. The racoons will sometimes get in and the deer can jump it but neither are an issue with the goats. It also keeps in our Pyrenees. If it keeps in the Pyrenees, it will keep out coyotes. Just make sure it is very hot, minimum 3K on all lines. Check regularly. If it goes out, the dogs and goats know it.

The goats will get out if they do not have enough tasty treats inside the fence to keep them satisfied.

It should be fine. If you have a livestock guardian there might not be at all a chance of predator break in.
