i have three emus that i hatched here myself. quite an experience! as much as i would like to keep them, i find myself not spending much time with them, so would like to find someone who will enjoy them. i am not hard pressed to get rid of them, so i will make sure they go to a good home with plenty of room and someone with a little knowledge about them. they need a 5-6 foot fence. chain link or 2x4 wire, something they cant get their heads through (feild fence).. they are not a year old yet, and emus dont lay eggs until 2-3 years old. not sure what sex these birds are, that requires DNA testing or just wait to see who lays an egg!
they are pretty friendly, no aggression just a little shy sometimes. i am located in Anson County, NC. best way to transport them would be a horse trailer i would think, and i may be willing to deliver within reasonable distance.

Too bad we don't have the space or fencing. I hope they find a good home.
