Chillin' with the herd
I have two bunnies. Throughout winter I would feed them their rabbit pellets, some hay, of course water and at night, a small amount of iceberg lettuce. I fed the lettuce because of the water content and their water bottle would freeze at night.
Yesterday, my Flemish giant died. No warning signs, not off feed...now I am reading that iceberg is not good at all for them. I am finding a lot of mixed signals. I know if it was the ONLY food source it would be bad..but what about as a treat, in addition to the other feed sources?
Also, can they have alfalfa pellets?
Thank you for your information.
