I'm going to be getting 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats this spring! 2 Does! they will be around 2 months. I'm getting them for pets. Not for milk or breeding or showing. ..Maybe breeding down the road but not soon. Would they need any grain? if so whats the best kind? and whats the best kind of hay? Do they Need Alfalfa? and what kind of mineral blocks?
I shop a-lot at tractor supply. so ill be getting a-lot from there! we don't have anywhere local :( ...I want them to have free choice of whatever mineral blocks and all!
sorry for all the questions

Welcome to the world of Nigerian Dwarfs.

No mineral block. Get loose minerals. TSC sells some specifically for goats. Give free choice.

I would feed two month old goats calf starter, but that's me. At least for the first couple of months or one 50lb bag.

If you only have a couple you could just get the goat chow that TSC sells, but yes I would give them some feed. If they were a year old and not bred and not in milk you wouldn't necessarily need feed, but a little feed on schedule is a good way to get goats to do what you want them to.

Alfalfa hay is the best. I don't know where you live, in some parts of the country alfalfa costs the same as grass hay. They don't need alfalfa particularly pets. We give ours free choice coastal bermuda hay which mine eat really good, and it is much more cost effective here than alfalfa. We supplement lactating does, or an animal that needs more conditioning with alfalfa when available at a reasonable cost.

x2 on the loose minerals. You'll also need to check into whether your area is deficient or sufficient in copper and selenium. If deficient, then you'll need to copper bolus and give selenium/ vit. E by BoSe through a vet/ vet prescription or the gel. I don't know the link offhand, but hopefully @Southern by choice will be by here soon to help you with that. :)
