We are getting nigerian dwarf goats and my hubby wants to know how many strands of electric fencing do we need and what spacing is best?

Can't help you with electric. We have horse no climb woven wire 4 ft fencing. But hopefully someone else with electric will come on and be able to tell you.

IMHO electric won't hold minis. Get out the fence stretcher, and go with graduated field fence (unless you're getting BABIES in which case you'll need dog fence).

I tried some electric fencing to keep the goats out of some newly sown portion of their pasture ... that didn't work.
We use the 2x4" dog wire and have never had an escape.
