Fescue and Goats

I know goats are not supposed to have fescue hay unless it is endophyte free. What about if fescue is in the pasture and you are unsure if it's endophyte free? Are the risks the same if it's fresh? Thanks.

As far as I know the answer to that is yes, if the the fescue seeds and it is the kind that molds it can cause problems.
