A couple weeks ago I finally got the nerve to draw blood to test my goats for CAE and CL. I was so very thankful that I was not drawing blood from people as I had a little trouble on a couple of the goats and had to "dig around" to get the vein. My daughter held the does' heads to the side while they were in the milk stand, but we got my husband to help with the buck. All my adult goats were tested (7) and all came back from UC Davis NEGATIVE!!!!!!! Yippee! My question....If all the adults are negative, the kids are also negative right...as long as no other goats have been in contact with them? I didn't test the 1-3 month old kids, only the moms, dad, and adults.

Stands to reason that the kids should be negative too. It's not recommended to test kids under 6 months old because of false positives.
