My female llama started to get like a crusty skin down the inside of her legs, down to her feet, around the skin on her tail and on her top of her nose (where halter sits) - well that might be sunburn. Her lower legs look a little swollen also... I sprayed her down with iodine wash.... I'm not sure what's going on... bacterial infection? It has been very hot here....None of the others have it.... She was wormed about 4 month ago with liquid Safeguard. She eats sweet feed, as all mine do and what she was always fed when I got her.... She eats Coastal hay mostly. I have a young llama born in Dec that trys to nurse off her and she lets him..... other than that she is healthy looking and acts normal..... :hu

MITES!

What you need to do is scrub her skin to get the crusty stuff off, then get Frontline spray and spray her. You do the spray 3 times with 10 days inbetween times. This seems to be the only way to get rid of it.

Mites live in grass and she might have contracted it there. Check the others for signs. Mites have become resistant to traditional meds I like need oil and turmeric cream work extremely well. Tea tree oil has a calming effect on the skin an is good as a overall treatment for the legs. Take care that you don't get it as mites are a problem for people as well and can spread in families.
