And this is my current canine Cleo.

Her best bud, Debbie, is in the box.

When I had to have Tirzah (my GSD/Lab) put down I wanted another dog asap. I saw an ad for an older dog on one of the rescue sites. Cleo was 7ish, and was listed as dog, cat, and chicken friendly!

She came home with us "on trial" in January 2019. She stayed.

Lately Cleo's really showing her age, falling often, acting confused. Our vet says she has degenerative joint disease, so I know her time is limited, and more precious for that reason.

Chicken Update

Priscilla, one of the pullets, checks out a pumpkin I placed in the run area.

The young'uns: Joanna, Silas, Esther, Priscilla, with Zacchaeus at the bottom. Zacchaeus is almost 6 months, the others are 6 weeks younger.

Silas needs to be rehomed, come and get him!

The three matriarchs: Hannah, Martha, Rahab (19 months)

As of today I have my estimate and COI (Certificate of Insurance) for two tree services, will be scheduling the clearing of the downed trees, which is the FIRST step in my goat plan.

Is it too soon to start my own journal thread?

No it’s not too soon to start a journal thread. I have all kinds of threads. My journal, each one of my dogs have a journal, I do a lambing journal each year.
Go for it!
