getting my 3 baby goats tomorrow! WE GOT THEM!PICS!need names for them

Tomorrow, we are heading to Chico, to get are 3 full breed alpine goats, they are all tested for CAE/CL. I am really excited we have a dog crate to keep them in while they are babies in the house, we have 3 20 oz bottles, and some bedding. We are NOT going to feed them formula, we are going to feed them whole cows milk from the store, they are about 10 days old, and we are going to feed them 3 times a day. Hi, thanks for all of the fun posts. We wen`t to the breeders house, and her goats where all really healthy. We picked out 1 good show quality female, and 1 male that will be a whether in about 2 months. At first we were having some trouble with bottle feeding them, because the the whole cows milk was leaking out of the side. We had 1 20 oz coke bottle, and 2 big 20 oz water bottles, we found out that only the coke bottle didn`t leak. We wen`t through 3 sets of nipples until we cut the perfect whole in them now its like their drinking out of their mothers utter. I will post pics tomorrow!!!!! Right now their are asleep in the dog crate in our kitcken.

I am so glad I am not the only one with kitchen goats Congrats on the babies and can't wait to see pics!

Ya, thats good that i`m not the only one with kitchen goats too. I will post pics in about 7 hours when i get home so be ready. They love to suck on my fingers, and when they get their bottles they chug them, i heard that the mother pulls away from the baby every 7 seconds while its nursing to take a brake so i count to 7 and then pull it away, and do it until the 16 oz bottle of milk is gone. I feed them 3 times a day 7:00 in the morning 2:00 in the evening, and 9:00 at night. We have a 20 oz bottle, but I only fill it to the 16 oz point, the girl is 1 week old, and the boy is 2 weeks old, we give the girl a little bit less because her tummy is so small.

I love the goat house in the kitchen. My dogs would go bananas, not to mention my wife would move me and the goats to the barn.
