OK, so my ND's have never been vaccinated, only wormed. Sooo, being very very very much a worry freak, I'm gonna give them Tetnaus, (thats CD&T , right?), get them tested for CAE, CL, and Johnes disease.

So heres my Q...

Where do I get CD&T vaccine?
Where do I get syringes? Feed store?
CAE, CL, and Johnes disease > you just need to draw blood then send it in to a vet, right?
do I use a new syringe for each shot, or just clean it thouroghly?

Sorry if its in the wrong section :hide

Thanks in advance

You can get CD & T from most feed/livestock stores, ie, tractor supply, atwoods, or a local feed store.

It is a refrigerated item.

You give 2 cc's no matter the size or age of the goat. I give those shots IM, in the hip area, that way they don't leave a knot at the injection site.

The drawing of blood is a bit trickier, I have not done it, I had the vet do it for me. However a lot of people on here do draw blood and can give you some pointers, I'm sure.

ND is Nigerian Dwarf goat

We usually find the best prices at Jeffers Livestock online and they are pretty quick to ship. Otherwise, Hoeggers online.
