giant chinchilla\satin crosses for meat

I'm think about purchasing a couple rabbits. I can get gaint chinchilla\satin, how would these rabbits for a beginner and also meat.

Satins do make good meat rabbits.
I prefer Californians bigger loin.

I have read good things about the Satins. I have Florida Whites (smaller meat rabbit) and am extremely pleased with them.
