We were horse people, we move to a big piece of property, Decided to start a farm, had horses, got some ducks & chickens. Than we got a pony donated to us and he came with a pygmy goat (they were best friends). Well the pony had the horses to play with but poor Bosco had no one, So we got a female Toggenburg named cookie. Well, once cookie came into our lives we were hooked. Got into Milking, making cheese, soaps and lotions. Than one day the S.O. is visiting the farm down the road and comes home with Harriet, who by the way was pregnant. (I've birthed puppies & kittens but never goats!) So I was a bit nervous, started reading everything I could find. Didn't matter she had the baby while no one was home & did just fine. So now we have "Tinkerbell" I call her Bella, the S.O. calls her Tink. Cant wait to see who follows us home next.

Goats really are addictive! How exciting for you to have an adorable kid! Wait til you have twins and they are playing together and leaping all over! LOL in a year or two you will have 19-15 goats... all normal though...it is goat math! :)

and Welcome to BYH! :)
