Hi, all--new to the forum, new to livestock, stuck in the suburbs, in love with goats. It was a love story that was doomed to a tragic end.

Unless goat boarding is actually a thing somewhere in northern Illinois? Because I really would love to have goats, I just can't keep them where I live! Has anyone ever actually done this? I saw a farm that lists it on their website but it's in the southwest.

Thanks!

If you find a person that keeps goats, maybe you could become friends... they would probably love to have a goat sitter and goat helper.

I haven't heard of actual goat boarding. There are just SO MANY things that can go wrong with goats... it would be stressful to have to take care of someone else's animals.

I do know the milk goat farm down the road from me does a farm thing.... where people come for the summer, live in a cabin and milk.

Maybe look for a goat group, and find the local "goat people". Local Facebook goat group, or local feed stores would be good places to start looking about.

Good luck!
